Judge Thomas Matthews said after receiving the first note about being deadlocked, he decided it was best to honor the jury’s second note to allow review of additional evidence and return tomorrow.

One of the men charged, Michael Pese, told Alaska’s News Source that each individual is related by blood or by marriage.
