It will span from the 59th Street off-ramp to the Howe Avenue/Power Inn Road on-ramp. Crews started work on the new alignment Monday, April 14. According to Caltrans, the shift is needed to rehabilitate the pavement in the far left lanes of eastbound Highway 50.

On Friday, you may notice a new shift for southbound traffic starting near Exposition Boulevard. It’s all part of the American River Bridge Rehabilitation Project.
