The accomplished blues/funk/R&B icon released his most ambitious work to date – touring in support of White Jesus Black Problems, a genre-defying album that focuses on Negrito's ancestral history – particularly the everlasting love shared by his white grandmother (an indentured servant) and his black, enslaved grandfather in 1750's Virginia.
