Biography

I'm a New York City humorist, who created and wrote the "I Was Misinformed" column for The New York Times for several years. I was a staff reporter for The New York Times; the New York Correspondent for The Washington Post; a contributing editor at New York Magazine and Rolling Stone; a staffer at People Magazine, The New York Daily News Magazine and The New York Post, under publisher Dolly Schiff. My books include, "My Breast, One Woman's Cancer Story", which I adapted as a CBS television movie and "Liaison: The True Story of the Affair That Inspired the Broadway show M. Butterfly". These days, I only write what I feel like writing. But if you wave lots of money at me, I'll entertain your proposal.
