The trial for 28-year-old Lateef Mahaffey Junior began Monday, and on Thursday afternoon the jury found him guilty of all 6 charges. He and co-defendant Mercedes Carpenter of Maynard were accused of selling drugs to a Willmar man who was later found dead in his bathtub September 26th 2022. The cause of death was fentanyl toxicity.

  • You-Tuber from Spicer to be sentenced on drug charges Friday

    By JP Cola Verified| willmarradio.com@ (Willmar MN-) You-Tuber and Spicer attorney Nick Rekieta will be sentenced on drug charges in Kandiyohi County District Court Friday morning at 10 a.m. In January, Rekieta pleaded guilty to a 3rd Degree Drug charge for possessing more than 10 grams of cocaine. The drugs were discovered after a search warrant was served at his rural Spicer home May 23rd of last year.
