I write about music and culture. I am resident psych-rock columnist at both The Quietus and Record Collector magazine. My work has also appeared in The Wire, The Guardian, Bandcamp Daily, Vice and others. I am the author of 'Electric Wizards: A Tapestry of Heavy Music, 1968 to the Present', published by Reaktion Books.
