Biography

Julia Barton is an audio story editor, scriptwriter and educator. As RadioWright LLC, she has served clients including Pushkin Industries, WNYC and Fountain Productions. A 2023-24 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University, Barton was the founding editor of Malcolm Gladwell's podcast "Revisionist History" and Michael Lewis's "Against the Rules," as well as Jill Lepore's "The Last Archive" and Tim Harford's "Cautionary Tales." She's been a senior editor at PRX's The World, as well as managing editor of the podcast network Radiotopia from PRX. Barton is co-host of the 2019 audio series "Spacebridge," about citizen diplomacy in the late Cold War. She currently publishes a newsletter, Continuous Wave, about the history of broadcasting in the US.
