Madison Smith says the McPherson County Attorney’s Office called it, “immature sex” and said they would not file a rape charge, so Smith used a 134-year-old state law to convene her own grand jury. Ultimately, the grand jury did not bring charges in the case, and the man accused pleaded guilty to aggravated battery.

Tad Cullum filed a motion in the Texas County, Oklahoma, to recuse and disqualify Judge Jon Parsley. He says Parsley represented Tifany Adams in a case in 2010, which raises questions about his ability to be impartial.
