Biography

Julianne Mosher is a freelance journalist based on Long Island, New York. For nearly 10 years, she has written for several different publications based throughout Manhattan to Montauk. During her undergraduate at Stony Brook University, where she received her BA in journalism, she wrote for TheCelebrityCafe.com and FashionWeek, where she covered gossip, trends and interviewed several high-profile celebrities. She was an editorial intern at Cosmopolitan Magazine during this time, where she covered health, sex and beauty. After graduating, she began working in television while building her freelance profile part-time writing for hyperlocal Long Island newspapers and websites, including Newsday, Long Island Business News, HuntingtonNow.com, GreaterLongIsland.com, The Long Island Advance and Times Beacon Record Newspapers. She took on a role of news editor for TBR News Media in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic where she covered local government, education, small business, health and science, and how all of these beats were impacted due to the coronavirus. Julianne received her MA in Communication from Southern New Hampshire University. She is now an adjunct journalism and communication professor at Suffolk County Community College where she teaches mass media and introduction to journalism courses to young writers. When she's not working or spending time with family, Julianne enjoys covering a little bit of everything and believes that telling someone else's story is a true honor. Have a tip?
