Parma City School District is asking voters to approve a new tax levy worth $23 million in “essential” operational revenue over 10 years. Bay Village City School District has put up a permanent $2.95 million annual levy — but it wouldn’t mean a tax increase, administrators said.

  • Barberton Ohio Person killed when tree falls on home

    By Talia Naquin Verified, Justin Dennis Verified, Melissa Reid Verified| WJW-TV (Cleveland, OH) Verified BARBERTON, Ohio (WJW) – Emergency crews responded to Barberton Tuesday afternoon for a report of a tree falling on a home. One person was killed. It happened at a home at Second Street and Wooster Road in Barberton between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m., according to officials. Firefighters could not make entry due to the debris. They called for a tree removal service and a technical rescue team.
