Despite a number of redevelopment proposals in the last decade, the building has been primarily used for storage. The Redevelopment Authority of the County of York and the York County Economic Alliance are looking to change that with their recent acquisition of the building. The 57,428 square-foot building originally opened in 1911.

POLITICO first reported the lawsuit. Perry is a central figure in the Jan. 6 probe.
