Biography
I am a Pennsylvania and Upstate/Western New York photographer who loves working with musicians, high school and college graduates, and couples. For the past six years, I have focused on documenting concerts and people in my area. Inspired (mostly) by the late 90s, early 2000s, hardcore, and punk music, I am an artist who works both digitally and with physical mediums like paint, magazines, and ink to create pieces. Along with photography, I own For The Punks (est. 2019), a resource and publication for fans and creators to connect and grow together. Since launching, we have grown to a team of about 30 volunteers. We cover most genres of music and mediums of art through various forms of coverage and support including interviews, reviews, IG takeovers, playlists, and simple social media shoutouts.

By Karalyn Hope| For The Punks@ “As I’m sitting here writing this, I realize that’s what COPE really means to me. It’s an album of persevering, laughing our way through the fog and kicking all of the ass while doing it… As the creative side of Manchester Orchestra dives head first into our new album, we are so excited to take a few violent breathers and celebrate this album with you on the road this year (with a little HOPE involved if we’re lucky).
By Karalyn Hope| For The Punks@ Mom Jeans. brought their “Loud Epic Emo Music” to the Town Ballroom in Buffalo, New York on Monday, March 25, with Hunny, Summer Salt, and a special theme. One of my favorite parts about this tour is their themed nights. From sport jerseys, denim, goth nite, and disco to cat print, cowboy hats, and overalls, Mom Jeans. curated a unique theme for each night of this tour. And the theme for the Buffalo? Camo. So many fans were decked out in camo.
By Karalyn Hope| For The Punks@ On March 24, 2024, Fall Out Boy returned to New York for their ‘So Much For (2our) Dust’ tour. Over 10,000 fans filled the stadium to see the iconic Chicago based pop-punk band Fall Out Boy play a sold out show in Albany, New York and to celebrate the one year anniversary of their album So Much (For) Stardust with openers Games We Play, Hot Mulligan, and Jimmy Eat World. The Maine and Daisy Grenade were special guests on other select dates.
