Biography
Having worked in daily newspapers for 30 years, I've covered a range of topics and served as a news and features editor, restaurant reviewer and beat reporter in mental health, overall health, food and dining, travel, animal welfare and pet care. My last 16 years have been spent at a university where I developed and continue to edit the university's magazine for alumni, donors, etc., In this capacity, I also develop branding for the university and individual colleges within. I'm from N.J., earned a bachelor's degree in classical civilization and English at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa. and earned my master's at Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism, It was there that I learned a great many things, including that I hate winters. Hence, I've lived in Florida for most of my adult life. I've written for newspapers throughout the country, as well as magazines, co-authored a book on special event fundraising for charities and wrote the narrative for a book on chocolate by renowned chocolatier and pastry chef Norman Love. I share my home with two retired racing greyhounds, three Chinese cresteds and assorted cats. All are rescues. I love animals, hate the Oxford comma, misplaced apostrophes, quotation marks and capitalized words used for emphasis when the writing should be sufficient to do so.

By Karen Feldman, Abigail Duffy Verified| Naples Illustrated Verified The recently opened Tigress Restaurant & Rooftop Bar brings three intriguing elements together in one North Naples locale: a modern Cantonese chophouse, for starters, and a space that affords a bird’s-eye view of the Cocohatchee River from atop The Perry Hotel Naples. The luxurious new hotel sits next to The Bay House, a restaurant long known for its tranquil water views. From the roof of the seven-story boutique hotel, however, diners get a completely different perspective.
