As a Political Science major I have been studying the successes, and many failures, of the current US government and justice system. My first few years of political science courses really brought to my attention the vital role that the media plays in politics. Keeping the public informed is one of the primary tenets of democracy, and I hope to continually improve public awareness via journalism.
