WA Police said it is believed the three people had been stuck in the water for about four hours before another boat spotted them. Police were alerted to the emergency at about 2.15pm on Sunday, which occurred roughly two nautical miles northwest of the Batavia Coast Boat Harbour. It is believed the boat was struck by a wave, resulting in the passengers entering the water.
