  • Katherine Dow’s forecast: A sunny Tuesday before a soggy mid-week turn

By Katherine Dow Verified| CKY-TV (Winnipeg, MB) Verified A sunny, not terribly warm Tuesday is unfolding across Manitoba, as a low tracking into our province is expected to mix things up overnight. Much of the province is forecast for a mix of sun and cloud, with clearer skies on the horizon for south-central regions. Temperatures in northern Manitoba are forecast to peak a few degrees above freezing. The southwest is the only region dealing with seasonal temperatures, with highs into the low teens.

  • Katherine Dow’s forecast: A windy, wintry start to the work week

By Katherine Dow Verified| CKY-TV (Winnipeg, MB) Verified Much of southern Manitoba kicks off the week with some decidedly un-spring-like conditions. Winnipeg and surrounding south-central regions will see Monday morning’s blowing flurries transition to rain showers by the afternoon. Those incredibly strong northeasterly winds responsible for whipping those flakes around will stay strong throughout the day at 50 km/h, gusting at times to 70 km/h. To the west, Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) forecasts a 30 per cent chance of showers.
