    By Katy Wilborn| Dubois County Herald Verified SPENCER COUNTY- The speculation is that every 30 years there is a great flood in the region. This year the water has reached dangerous and historic levels. Indiana Gov. Mike Braun has declared state of disaster emergency after severe weather. Braun's emergency declaration includes 18 counties including: Bartholomew, Brown, Clark, Crawford, Dearborn, Delaware, Gibson, Hamilton, Harrison, Lake, Madison, Marshall, Martin, Own, Perry, Posey, Spencer and Warrick counties.

  • William Tell Elementary to welcome new principal

    By Katy Wilborn| Perry County News Verified TELL CITY- Tell City Troy Township Schools announced at their April board meeting that they have hired a new principal that will begin for the 2025-2026 school year. Alexa Osborne is originally from Owensboro, Ky. She moved to Evansville, Ind. where she taught special education. She also taught high school health and physical education at Evansville Central for a couple of years. She then worked on her administration license at Perdue before being hired in Mount Vernon, Ind.
