Biography
Experience Kayla Randolph is an insurance editor for U.S. News & World Report. After beginning as an associate editor for the home goods team, she moved to leading the pets category in commerce as the pet editor. That brought her to her current role specializing in pet insurance. Randolph is a lifelong pet lover with a German shepherd mix named Luna, and she's passionate about her goal of putting her pets knowledge to good use, as she knows how much pet parents care about the happiness and well-being of their furry children. She has expertise regarding canine and feline enrichment, nutrition, oral health, grooming, and parasite protection. Prior to joining the USN&WR team, she worked as an editor in a variety of mediums, including nonprofit reporting for The Borgen Project’s blog and BORGEN Magazine and poetry for Concrete Literary Magazine. In addition to her insurance editor role, she works as a freelance editor specializing in paranormal, suspense, and horror projects with author Xavier Poe Kane. Randolph is also a published poet whose publication credits include but aren't limited to The Beatnik Cowboy; Spanglish Voces: Literalmente Literature; and Scapegoat Review. Education Randolph earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Writing, Literature, and Publishing and her Master of Arts in Publishing and Writing from Emerson College.
