CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King was among the six women onboard the Blue Origin spaceflight. Each crew member rang a bell before blasting off. King, who could be seen with a serious expression her face, later said she was afraid in that moment. After liftoff, the crew traveled more than 60 miles above the earth’s surface. The autonomous flight lasted roughly 10 minutes.
