  • Summer Stargazing, night photography in Colorado

By Kenzie Bruce| The Denver Post Verified The Geminid meteor shower peaked in the early morning hours of December 14, 2018. A few stars streaked across the sky around midnight at the Chautauqua Trailhead in Boulder. • Inside Cableland, the Official Home of Denver's Mayor

By Kenzie Bruce| Westword Verified On April 29, Denver City Council awarded landmark status to Cableland, the circa 1987 post-modernist mansion at 4150 Shangri-La Drive. Cable pioneer Bill Daniels built it as a residence and social gathering place, then gifted it to the city as an official home for the mayor of Denver. Although no mayor has yet lived there (and all of the current candidates have declined to move in if elected), the building stands as a landmark to Denver's days as the world capital of the cable television industry.
