Previously, he was the senior staff writer at The Miami Times in Miami, Fl., a staff writer at New Mexico's Rio Grande SUN and, before that, worked as the crime reporter for the Talk Media chain, including Coral Springs Talk. According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit, an unidentified shooter killed Marlon Orlando Samuels, 44, and wounded his 20-year-old son, Mikyle Samuels, just after 7 p.m. Monday near the 900 block of Southwest 81st Avenue. According to investigators, Marlon Samuels was involved in a verbal argument with a person in the area.

Prosecutors on April 14 charged Gelin, 50, with one count of simple battery – a misdemeanor – for allegedly intentionally touching or striking Villalobos as Villalobos filmed him during an Oct. 24 altercation outside the Tamarac Library at 8701 W.
