Biography

I cover Capitol Hill and national political news for Spectrum cable's 24-hour news stations across the country in NY, NC, TX, FL, and KY. My focus is primarily on the North Carolina congressional delegation, as I deliver localized reports for our Tar Heel state stations. Before joining Spectrum, I worked as a reporter with WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge, La., where I covered the legislature and state politics. During my 3 years in Louisiana, I also reported on the governor's week-long trade mission to Cuba, in addition to the shooting death of Alton Sterling and a historic flood. A graduate of The George Washington University, I got started in journalism through internships with ABC, PBS Washington Week, Cox's D.C. Bureau, and WGAL-TV.

By Kevin Frey Verified| Spectrum News 1 Central NY Verified The World Trade Center Health Program could be devastated by this week’s mass layoffs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 9/11 community advocates say.
