The forecast calls for only one day with rain and wind concerns (Friday), with all the other days looking great. As usual in my golf weather forecasts, we’re focusing more on wind than rain. While rain can halt play if it’s heavy enough, it also helps soften and slow the course, which helps as much as it hurts. With wind, there’s no helpful side; it’s all negative impact.

Areas especially along and east of the i-45 corridor have a chance for hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes. But before we get to Saturday, we have a warm and muggy end to the week. It will also be windy on Friday with gusts to 40 mph. A wind advisory will be in effect from 7am-7pm Friday. We also could see some rain through the end of the week.
