According to Mounties, on Dec. 22, 2024, they received a report that a youth had allegedly been sexually assaulted by a volleyball coach. Corp. Mansoor Sahak, media liaison officer for the North Vancouver RCMP, says the investigation involves allegations that potentially occurred over several years.

Chilliwack RCMP say the Cessna 1720-S crashed southeast of the Chilliwack Lake just after 3:30 on Saturday afternoon. The Transportation Safety Board says the aircraft is owned by the Chinook Helicopters Flight School of Abbotsford. It is not clear how many people were on board.
