By Kim Dahlgren| Substack@ Most people I spoke to before giving birth for the 2nd time assured me that the transition from 1-2 was much easier than 0-1. I’m not so sure. The first two weeks with my baby were utterly blissful - my sweet little lady slept 20 hours a day (and at 4 weeks, she still kind of does!), and I was surrounded by support from loved ones who came near and far (and via FaceTime) to congratulate us on baby #2. The next two weeks were utter chaos.
By Kim Dahlgren| Substack@ Deep in the throes of life with a newborn (and a toddler), I stumbled across a beautiful piece of writing this week:I love you. I hope you know that. But I’m so small and I can’t say it yet. So the tears will come when I need you,and sometimes I feel yours too. I know you ache, but I ache for you. Maybe we feel the same? When it’s dark around me and your facecomes into view,I know everything will be OK. Do you know that too? I just want to tell you…I love you. But I can’t just yet.
