Biography
Court reporting primarily covering Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline Sheriff Courts. Occasionally venture to High Courts in Edinburgh and Glasgow. I graduated from Napier University in 2010. I started working on a weekly local paper before moving to an agency and have been with DC Thomson since 2012. Initially part of the Perth and Kinross district team, my court experience and enthusiasm made the Crime and Court team a natural fit for me when Project Apollo was launched in March 2021.

Liam Gray carried out a sexual assault after a barbecue at an address in the city. During the course of the evening he sent a number of lewd texts to the woman, with whom he had previously had a sexual relationship. When she repeatedly rejected his advances she claimed he pretended to leave the house and waited until she had gone to her bedroom to force her to perform a sex act on him.

A horrified woman traced power cables back to Ian Anderson’s desk, then found the instruction manual for the cameras in his desk drawer. Police checked his phone for images and none were found but prosecutors noted the phone had been reset the day after the confrontation. Stirling Sheriff Court heard Anderson had worked for the Laing Traditional Masonry Group for 12 years.

James Crichton called the woman a “bitch” and shouted at her during the incident. Stirling Sheriff Court heard the 75-year-old has been living in homeless accommodation after being banned from the marital home by a sheriff seeking to protect the woman from further harm.
