There were the ski patrol strikes that all but shuttered Park City Mountain Resort over the holidays, outrage over lift tickets climbing above $300 a day, and of course, the omnipresent threat of climate change. But there’s one challenge to the sport that has been largely under the radar: skiers are old — and getting older. The median age last season was 37 — that’s up from 30 a decade ago.
