By Kristy Kolberg| The Citizen (South Africa) Verified The Garden Route SPCA (GRSPCA) is facing legal action after a routine sterilisation procedure took a serious turn and two of four pit bulls sent for sterilisation had to be euthanised. The owner is taking the GRSPCA to court for allegedly unlawfully euthanising her dogs. George Hearld reports that the incident has sparked controversy, with the owner of the pit bulls and many others outraged.
By Kristy Kolberg| The Citizen (South Africa) Verified The Hawks arrested a 34-year-old police constable at the George Magistrate’s Court earlier today, on charges of corruption and dealing in drugs. George Herald reports that the suspect works as a court orderly. According to Hawks spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Siyabulela Vukubi, information was received that from 2022 to date, a SAPS member who works at the George Magistrate’s Court was dealing in drugs and involved in corrupt activities.
