Two of the many KCSL founding members, Terri Talarek King and Patti Coffey, said the seed library is located near the sun room in the Knox County Public Library and is free for anyone to utilize.

A representative from Martin Brothers Distributing, a broad-line food distributor based out of Cedar Falls, Iowa, addressed the board that the company was looking at acquiring what is currently Wabash Foods off of Ramsey Road, with the plan to update and bring the building up to "modern times" for a new distribution center.
