Lana Husband started her journalism career as a Unit Pubic Affairs Representative for the 504th Military Intelligence Company while deployed to Iraq. During her military career she assisted in the training and implementing of policies to civilian media representatives and military public affairs representatives in order to better understand how to provide coverage of military activities where classified material was present. Lana also assisted in creating material for use with Psychological Operations in Iraq. As a civilian, she has trained hundreds of individuals in the best use and practices on how to tell their story to the public. Now, Lana uses her 10 years’ experience to cover local news in the Central Texas Area with a focus on technology and the military. She has created thousands of photos, articles, and videos on emerging technology from Operational Test Command, Google, Twitch, and SXSW. Lana's work has been used by the City of Killeen, City of Copperas Cove, Killeen Daily Herald, Temple Daily Telegram, Sun News Austin, KCEN-TV, KWTX-TV, Defense Visual Information Distribution Service, and other organizations.
