In addition to the murder charge, Joshua Arthur Mielke, 16, was charged as an adult with two counts of aggravated kidnapping and two counts of firing a gun causing serious injury, aggravated assault, all felonies and assault, a class A misdemeanor.

Spencer Cox was elected to a second term Tuesday night according to The Associated Press. He was running against Democrat challenger Brian King and a determined and litigious write-in campaign from fellow Republican Rep. Phil Lyman who ran as an independent. With incomplete voting numbers reported from Utah, Cox had 54% of the vote compared to 34% for King. Lyman recorded 7.5% with write ins.
