Eulalie Chafee Salley championed and was a leader in the suffrage movement in the early 20th century, campaigning for the right for women to vote. Around 1912, Salley and five other women organized the Aiken County Equal Suffrage League. To fund her work, Salley applied for a real estate license in 1915.
