Biography

I've been freelance writing since 2011 and have close to 1,000 published articles, including five longform cover stories. I've developed a knack for taking the complicated or mundane and weaving a story. I've also been known to spin a good yarn about waffles and a cat named Bacon. I'm also part-time communications coordinator for St. Stephen Presbyterian Church, managing all social media, website content and PR. In early 2019, I coordinated a 32-day cross country PR campaign for Carry The Load, garnering more than 250 earned media placements. From 2013-2018 I took a five year "hiatus" to teach middle school English. I almost got beat up, but those kids learned Poe.
