Former UC Davis student Carlos Reales Dominguez, 22, is being tried on two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder in connection with three brutal stabbings that occurred in the spring of 2023. Both the prosecution and defense had confirmed their readiness for trial as recently as April 1.
