  • Meriden police: Victim’s hand nearly severed in assault, suspect charged

    By Lauren Sellew Verified| Meriden Record Journal Verified MERIDEN — A man faces charges after police said another man’s hand was nearly severed in an assault in September. Jeisson Oswaldo Angarita Roldan, 34, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with first-degree assault, second-degree threatening, and disorderly conduct. On Sept. 30 police responded to a report of a fight in the area of 306 E. Main St., according to police. A man involved in the incident was taken to a local hospital with his hand nearly severed from his wrist, police said.
