Biography
I'm Laurine Benoit, holding a Master's degree in Journalism and Communications from the Paris School of Business and a Bachelor's in Journalism from Université Paris Dauphine - PSL. I'm a dedicated journalist with a deep love for animals and a staunch advocate for nature. Over the years, I've focused my writings on political and cultural subjects, with a keen interest in ecology, animals, gardening, and renewable energies. I kicked off my journalistic journey in April 2013 with 20 Minutes France, diving into topics like politics and renewable energies. By March 2015, I had climbed the ranks, leading a dedicated team of three for the Politics section, a crucial pillar for the publication. Between January 2016 and March 2017, I collaborated with Opinion, penning articles on renewable energies and gardening. It was here that I discovered the joy of writing about plants, leading me to cultivate my own vegetable garden on my balcony. I had a brief yet enriching tenure with Slate magazine from February to December 2017. Presently, I helm another prominent French publication as its editor-in-chief. Since September 2014, I've been contributing to Archzine. My colleagues often remark about the happiness and passion I bring to our team. My love for writing, combined with my respect for nature and the environment, shines through in my meticulously researched articles. Apart from being a journalist, I'm a fervent gardener, a fact cherished by readers of Archzine's Plants and Gardens section. Whether it's rescuing tomato plants or nursing rose bushes back to health, I find solace in nurturing life. Gardening remains my therapeutic retreat from the rigors of contemporary life. My journalistic journey has been acknowledged with accolades like the Prix Albert Londres and the Prix de l'Initiative Européenne, marking my footprint in this dynamic field.
