Only remaining from last year is bot laner Víctor “Flakked” Lirola, who now stands as the face of the project and de facto captain to his lesser-experienced teammates. We spoke to Flakked for an interview following a close 2-1 defeat to Winter champions Karmine Corp during the third week of LEC Spring.
By Lee Jones| Esports.net@ The biggest roster move in the LEC between the Winter and Spring splits was undoubtedly Team Vitality’s letting go of veteran support Hylissang in favour of a role-swapped Nisqy. The former mid laner joined the side in an effort to steady the ship following a disappointing seventh-place finish in the Winter playoffs. After the opening three weeks of competition, Team Vitality currently have a 1-2 record in Spring, their latest match a 2-0 defeat to Fnatic.
By Lee Jones| Esports.net@ A third-place Winter finish was not a disastrous start to the season for Fnatic, though the side had serious hopes for an LEC title with the bot lane additions of Upset and Mikyx leading many to label the roster a superteam. Looking to try again in Spring, the team started perfectly with a 2-0 opening day win against GIANTX, though that was followed up by a disappointing 0-2 collapse against usual bottom feeders SK Gaming. We spoke to Fnatic jungler Iván “Razork” Martín after the loss.
