By Lee Southwick Verified| WTSP-TV (St Petersburg, FL) Verified CEDAR KEY, Fla. — The paddle boarders who went missing Monday were originally supposed to paddle from Atsena Otie Key to Cedar Key, which is about a 1 mile trip north. Instead, they ended up around 15 miles to the southeast. The 16 year old girls were last seen around 4 p.m. before their rescue Tuesday morning. Looking at conditions around 4 p.m. Monday, waters were rough. There was a small craft advisory in place and seas were 2-to-3 feet in height.
