She and her husband live in Port Byron, but she jokes that she works for an East Moline school because she loves living with her husband, but she doesn't want to work for him, too.

McGuire, 63, has served the school district for 24 years as an administrator and educator. "It means a lot to me to me," he said. "I've been here for quite a while, and I will miss a lot of people. "I want to be remembered for always putting kids first," McGuire said.
