Libby March is a staff photojournalist at The Buffalo News. She also works as an independent documentary and editorial photographer on select projects, based partly in Buffalo, New York, and partly in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. March has a Bachelors degree in Journalism with a photographic concentration and a minor in art from Central Michigan University (2012). She previously worked as a photography intern at the Jackson Citizen Patriot (MI), the Concord Monitor (NH), the Muskegon Chronicle (MI), and Valley News (NH). At the completion of her internship with Valley News in 2013, she began working independently as a freelance photojournalist, based in North Carolina and New Hampshire before relocating to Western New York in 2018. Once established in Western New York, March became a frequent contributor to The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post before beginning a staff photojournalist position at The Buffalo News in June 2022. She has also worked with clients such as The Marshall Project, NPR, AARP, Bloomberg News, The Washington Post, L'Obs, Vox, Medium, The Guardian, and U.S. News and World Report.
