Lighter mornings (although fellow parents, I FEEL you!), lighter evenings, warmer weather and time to (hopefully) ditch the knitwear. I heard the birds tweeting at 5pm the other day and it was a blissful moment of seasonal hope. And I now have multiple photos of daffodils, tree blossom and crocuses from my local park on my phone.

I had a vision for my new living room, yes, but translating what was in my head to the walls was quite another story. Here’s what I wanted: dark green walls, a big natural-coloured sofa, lots of textures, a large high-pile berber rug, black fixtures and pops of a contrasting colour.
