On Oct. 12, 2021, a Blue Line train derailed in a tunnel while traveling from Rosslyn Station toward Arlington Cemetery Station. Nearly 200 passengers were onboard at the time. No one was hurt.

  • Businesses concerned by upcoming Metro Red Line shut down

The Red Line stations around Farragut North and Gallery Place will be closed from Dec. 18 to Dec. 30. Judiciary Square station will close from Dec. 22 to Dec. 24. Metro leaders say the need to fix track problems and replace a concrete beam. But some are upset by the timing. In a changing downtown impacted by the pandemic and crime, another challenge for some businesses.
