I’ve worked in newspapers, radio, magazines, nonprofits and public relations, as a reporter, editor, case manager and community leader. I once drove Model Ts for a living. I love writing because it allows me to learn something new every day. I firmly believe everyone has a story to tell – and I want to be the one who tells it. My journalism career has taken me from rural Michigan to New Orleans to the nation’s capital. I’m passionate about healthcare access and information. When I’m not writing, I’m hanging out with my cat, baking (for joy and competition), volunteering with my local abortion fund and watching hockey.
