Lini S. Kadaba is an award-winning journalist who spent nearly 25 years working as a reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper. Since 2010, she has worked as a freelance lifestyle, education, business and health writer. Her work continues to appear in the Inquirer as well as the Saturday Evening Post and numerous college publications, including the Pennsylvania Gazette, EXEL and Haverford Magazine. Lini is a master's graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and a former president of the Pennsylvania Press Club. She will be giving an endowed lecture titled “Better Living in Eichlerville: California Modernism’s Influence on Apple” on Monday, Feb. 24. As a teen, Bryn Mawr College art historian and film theorist Homay King was so obsessed with pop artist Andy Warhol that the stellar student briefly lapsed in her academics.

Kadaba| brynmawr.edu@ When she was a student at Bryn Mawr College, Angie Emery Henderson ’95 delighted in walking around the leafy town and taking the train to Philadelphia to roam the city on foot. As a Growth and Structure of Cities major, she says she was fascinated with the built environment, the trees, the streetscape, and the ample sidewalks. In fact, these very experiences led Henderson, 51, to first run for elected office nine years ago, hellbent on addressing sprawling Nashville’s lack of walkability.
