Tacoma police are searching for at least one suspect after a reported shooting on South G Street in Tacoma Friday at about 1 a.m.The victim was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries. “He only stepped out a few hours and it cost him his life,” said Chanel Jackson, mother.

The rescue was caught on the deputy’s body cam. The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office posted the video on X. The video recorded the dog’s yelps as it swam in distress in the chilly waters of Wildcat Lake on Friday. A neighbor had tried to row out to the helpless animal in a small boat already, but couldn’t get through the ice.
