Many of these students had questions and concerns surrounding the April 29, 2022, tornado that hit Southeast Wichita and Andover. They wanted to know about the Enhanced Fujita scale and how tornadoes receive their names.

Medicine Lodge reached the century mark!The fire danger is extreme due to hot, dry and gusty winds traveling over dry vegetation.  Fire Weather Warnings cover a large amount of real estate from Central and Western Kansas into the Oklahoma Panhandle and also up to southern Nebraska. Winds will be higher where the warnings are located.
