(WV News) - Three Mineral County Schools employees pleaded to keep their jobs Tuesday evening as the board of education took action to transfer or RIF a number of professional and service employees as part of the annual personnel season. Eleven professional employees and 11 service personnel were on the list to either be placed on the transfer list with their current positions to be abolished, or be terminated as part of the Reduction in Force (RIF) actions proposed by the board.

(WV News) - The Mineral County Board of Education took the first step Tuesday toward putting the former Wiley Ford Primary School and Frankfort Intermediate School up for sale. The two schools, along with Fort Ashby Primary School, were officially closed at the end of the 2023-2024 school year, with the students consolidated into the new Frankfort Elementary School.
