Biography

I'm an independent audio reporter, producer, and story editor from Los Angeles. Most recently, I worked on Track Change, a newly released podcast from VPM and Narratively and distributed by NPR. It follows the fate of four men in the Richmond City Jail in Virginia -- as they record their original music in the jail's studio, their lyrics give insight into how they got behind bars, and the futures they're working towards. I also worked with Conde Nast to launch the Get WIRED podcast for WIRED, and made radio stories at the public radio show and podcast Snap Judgment. For three years, I reported for NPR member station KALW in San Francisco, and I've also taught at the Transom Story Workshop. My stories have taken me to search for hidden graves on a remote Indonesian island, document the 2016 protests at Standing Rock, and interview a man who - except for his socks - was fully in the nude. My writing, photography, audio and video work have appeared in various outlets, including NPR, Studio 360, PRI’s The World, and The New York Times.
