My freelance pieces have appeared in The Detroit News, The Washington Post online and more. Formerly: managing editor of Philanthropy magazine, reporter for the Washington Examiner, editor-in-chief of The Collegian. While at the Examiner, I wrote a series of stories that inspired the U.S. Secretary of Transportation to demand reform at a local airports agency and that earned me two investigative journalism prizes.
