I kept thinking this was some kind of artistic rendering with seashell-like patterns painted on a model. “Art takes nature as its model.” ~ AristotleA fisherman happened to be hanging out with his dog on the beach, and he told me what it was. These fish appeared during the middle Jurassic period, about 175 million years ago.
